What is Off The Vine (OTV) produce delivery?

Off the Vine Produce Company is an Organic FRESH produce delivery service. We offer weekly deliveries of fresh fruits and vegetables in each zipcode that we service. We also offer fresh, natural and organic items such as whole grain bread, milk, cream, and organic fair trade coffee.

Where does your produce come from?

We buy only USDA certified organic produce. We first buy locally from Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, & the Southeast, and then across the US. Our fruit and vegetable boxes and southern style fruit box is all produce grown inside the US. Some additional mixes of fruit boxes may be grown ourside the US, but are all USDA approved organic produce companies.

How do your prices compare to those of organic and local retailers?

Our prices are competitive if not better than other organic retailers (our customers often tell us so). . Plus, you save you the value of your time and gas for your car.

How fresh is your produce?

We order exactly what we require for each delivery day. Usually our produce is picked off the farms just a few days before you receive it.

How do I know what I'm getting is really organic?

We buy from only USDA certified organic farmers. These farmers are certified & registered as organic farms in their states and routinely checked by the USDA. Most organic items will also be labeled.

What is your delivery area?

We now deliver to: Atlanta, Athens, Augusta, & Savannah Georgia.  Pensacola, Destin, & Panama City in Florida. Birmingham, Alabama. Chattanooga, Knoxville, & Nashville, Tennessee. Greenville & Charleston, South Carolina. And Charlotte, North Carolina.

How much produce is in a box?

Can I order exactly what I want?

We decide what goes into each box every week according to what is most seasonally fresh and best priced. We always give a variety of 12-14 of the freshest fruits and vegetables which change weekly and seasonally. View This Week's Box Contents Here

When will you deliver?

Each city has a weekly delivery day.. There are no specific time slots for your delivery, the time will depend on your address. We start early in the morning and try to have deliveries completed by 3PM. Please look for your city's delivery day below:

Tuesdays: Greenville, Charlotte, Chattanooga, Knoxville, Nashville, Birmingham (Order deadline is Saturday)

Thursdays: Atlanta, Destin, Pensacola, Panama City, Athens, Augusta, Savannah, Charleston (Order deadline is Tuesday)

How do I pay for Off The Vine service?

Off the Vine accepts MasterCard, VISA, American Express, and Debit cards bearing the MasterCard or VISA logo. Your credit card will be charged the day before your delivery. We will record your credit card information when you sign up or you may order your produce online and authorize the charge when you place your order.

What are the delivery charges?

Average single address delivery fee for most cities is $14.00 Please take advantage of our "good neighbor plan" to cut delivery fees by 50% or more!

What is the "good neighbor plan"?

With our "Good Neighbor Plan", you may receive 2 boxes to 1 address and share the cost of delivery with your neighbor/friend/office co-worker. If you have a group of friends all wanting organic produce, we will deliver up to 12 boxes to one address for $35.95.

This way we cut the fees down to just $3.00 per person! Much less than making the trips yourself to and from numerous stores plus the time involved! If you have 3 or more boxes to one address we will reduce the fees according to the numbers of boxes delivered.

What taxes are charged to my order?

Taxes will be charged according to your county. Our tax bracket is for groceries, not prepared foods, so only local county taxes apply - usually 2-3 percent. For grocery items, we will charge the local and state taxes according to your location.

There is no deposit or setup fee required.

What should I do with my box each week?

What if I am not home when you deliver?

No problem! Most of our customers are not home when their order arrives. We ask when you sign up where will be a good place to leave your produce. We suggest a place in the shade and off the ground - maybe on a table on the front porch for instance.

What if I need to skip a delivery?

Deliveries will continue your requested shedule unless you need to skip or cancel. Should you need to skip a week, please let us know NO LATER than 9PM of your cuttoff day (see above "When will you deliver?"). We are very flexible to your individual needs!

On hot days, how will you keep my produce fresh?

If your produce delivery cannot be placed somewhere cool or in the shade, we recommend that you leave out a few ice packs in a cooler and we will transfer them to your package for extra help until you get home. For milk, cream, butter, or other cold grocery items you must leave a cooler with ice or cold packs at the same place you want your produce delivered.

Do you deliver to businesses?

Yes, we can deliver to your office every week. We have many offices order our specialty fruit boxes on a weekly basis.

Is there any minimum number of deliveries I have to commit to?

Of course not! You're welcome to try a single delivery. You can stop your service at any time. Just let us know at least 48 hours before your next scheduled delivery.

How do I cancel a delivery?

You can cancel a delivery at any time by either calling our office, or having us put you on a hold status. Please note that we need 48 hours notice prior to your scheduled delivery day to cancel an order, otherwise you will be responsible for your order.

Can I send the produce as gifts?

Yes, we do many gifts for customers for birthdays, holidays (yes, we do "lists" of gifts!) and new births for instance. Just give us a call and we can arrange a gift to be delivered that is perfect with very little effort needed from you!

We offer a Fundraising Program for schools that offers our produce boxes to be delivered for fund raising. Simply email or call us to find our more about our fundraising program. Help your school and families eat fresh and support the local economy.
